Endoscopic Sinus Surgery – for Nasal Polyp

Small Nasal polyps can be treated by medical treatment but Big nasal polyps usually requires nasal endoscopic surgery.
Nasal polyps are masses or growths within the nose and are usually non-malignant.
Polyps may be single or multiple, and can occur on one side (unilateral) or both sides(bilateral).
Patients who suffer with allergy are generally more prone to develop these polyps.

Depending on the severity of polyps, symptoms includes progressive nasal blockage, nasal discharge, reduced sense of smell and recurrent episodes of cold.
It is important to seek ENT consultation to know the severity of the polyps. A CT scan of nose and paranasal sinuses may be needed.
